Gardiner Chess will be be running the Queensland Junior Blitz Championships on behalf of the Chess Association of Queensland.

The key details of the event are:

When: Sunday 30th October
Where: William Duncan State School Hall, Cnr Explorers Way and Alexander Drive
Time: 12.00pm to 12.30pm registration, games starting at 1.00pm. Expecting finish time approximately 4.30pm
Cost: $30.00 per player
Time Control: 3 minutes + 2 seconds per move

No entries will be accepted after Friday 28th October.

There will be trophies for all age groups from Under 8 through to Under 18 + cash prizes for 1st to 3rd overall ($300, $200, $100).

As an added bonus for bragging rights, the top 10 scores from the tournaments for Brisbane and Gold Coast players will be added to generate a Brisbane v Gold Coast challenge winner.
