Final Rd. Warm up results + message from RCC President Mark C Stokes
Hi All
Please find attached the crosstable after the final round of our Club Champs warm up tournament played over 5 rounds, with the last round played on Wednesday night October 28, 2026.
Two players were the co-winners of this event, David Beaumont and Saul de Jongh, both on 4.5/5. They drew their individual clash of board 1 in the final round. Well done David and Saul!
We also must congratulate Fedra Simic on winning the CAQ Inc Queensland Girls U10 Championship last week end on a perfect 7/7! Fedra won $100 and was also presented with a beautiful trophy. We are all really proud of you Fedra!
Jai Turner also had another successful Chess Week End, finishing =1st in the UQ Classic at St Lucia with 5/6, including a vital win over the very talented Terrence Tang in the last round. This is two tournaments in a row now that Jai has finished =1st in, doing the same in the Darling Downs U2000 ACF Major recently. Go Jai!

Remember too that the 2026 Redcliffe Chess Club Championship starts with R1 at 8pm this coming Wednesday night November 4. It is still just $20 for Adults and just $6 for Juniors to enter for 7 competitive, accelerated, ACF and QJ rated Classical chess games.
