Oceania federations are due to claim their official places in October (most federations have been sufficiently busy with the Olympiad that Zonal selections were low priority up to now). Any remaining places in the Open Zonal will be offered in November – please make sure canterbury@chess.org.nz is on safe lists so waiting list emails are not missed. The venue has a total capacity limit – any remaining places after 22 November will be offered to the waiting list until the total limit has been reached after which both Zonals will be full.

Any players who want to enter the Women’s Zonal, or (W)IMs and (W)GMs who want to enter either Zonal, should ensure this is done by 22 November as places will not be held back after that.
