No money in Teams events?! Lakers $12.5Billion US.

Whatever happened to the “Angry Penguins”?
The new tranche of Australian leading Juniors apparently are just going to sit back and watch their mates drop out of chess. Why not instigate a match between –
Victorian Juniors (U/25) v Queensland Juniors (U/25)
These are by far the two leading chess states in the country.
Make it a yearly event and invite other states as their Juniors get up to the level of Victoria and Qld.
Why not make it a stakes match?

Both Teams must field at least 25% female.

All just an idea at the moment.

Played on Lichess or Chess.com with an opposing state rep. on site to check for cheating.
20 minutes each on the clock – no increments (increments is old timey chess for people who can’t be bothered studying endgames)
No toilet breaks equals no cheating. Go before you play!

Played in a public place – Shopping Centre for instance – players bring their own laptops. –
