Congrats to Jai for winning our 30 player Rapid Chess Champs on 6//6, followed by Tony Dowden on 5/6 in second place and Simon Yousafi in 3rd place on 4.5/6.
Congrats to David Beaumont for coming =1st with Brodie McClymont on 5.5/6 in the 60th Peninsula Open, and to David Pando for =3rd on 5/6 and to Jai Turner =3rd and Rating Gr A winner, also on 5/6! Tony Dowden won the Best Senior Prize with 4.5/6. And Nishit Das won the Best ACF Unrated Prize, which is Free entry into our next Week Ender, the 2025 Leo Wilkinson Memorial on Sat Sept 27 and Sun Sept 28. You can enter it too for just $21! We had 22 Redcliffe Club players take part in the 60th Peninsula Open, which was so good to see!
This Wednesday night July 9 Jai Turner is running a 5 minute Blitz Chess Tournament and the entry fee is just a $2 gold coin! I won’t be there this week – I will be cheering Queensland onto victory in the Stae of Origin decider.
Next Wednesday night July 16 we will begin our 7 round ACF and QJ rated Norm Braybrooke Memorial – it is just $20 for Adults to enter and just $6 for Juniors U18 to enter. Norm passed away on June 15 and ‘A Celebration of Norm’s Life’ will be held on Sunday July 27 at 2:45pm in the Dolphin Room of the Redcliffe Dolphins Rugby League Club.The venue is located at the corner of Klinger Rd and Ashmole Rd, Redcliffe.
