In other news, we’re in Singapore this week for the 25th ASEAN+ Junior Chess Championships and Team AUS has beaten Team India in the U10 competition (on tiebreak but nonetheless!) when’s the last time Ozzies have beaten India in a Classical chess team competition?!
I’ve attached a photo of team AUS on the podium and the boys with GM Ramesh himself who’s also here with the Indian team. There’s a decent AUS delegation here in general with IM James Morris placing =3rd in the Open/Premier and Nyra Venkat winning =3rd bronze in G08.
