August the 22nd at 7pm AEST – $500 online blitz fundraiser
To all chess players,
It’s time!
On August the 22nd at 7pm AEST I will once again be putting on a $500 online blitz fundraiser to help get our Australian Olympiad players over the line with expenses. Proceeds of the tournament will go directly to the players for expenses such as preparation tools and training since FIDE funding only covers the majority of travel expenses.
Please see the flyer and regulations attached for the event which will take place on Chess.com. Many of the Olympiad players will participate including Grandmasters so this is a great opportunity for a chance to play titled Australian representatives and even Grandmasters.
Open to all Australian players and residents.
