Crosstable R5 of the 2026 Summer Swiss played on Wed night Feb 25

Please find attached the Round 5 crosstable for the 2026 Redcliffe Summer Swiss, played on Wednesday night, February 25.

Round 5 Summary:

There are now three joint leaders on 4 out of 5! David Pando, Nikola Maljkovic and Filip Simic have all played terrific, fighting chess this tournament and will head into the final round with a share of the lead. As David and Filip have already played this tournament, David is likely to play talented and resilient junior Nikola Maljkovic on the top board of the final round! With a further 4 players on 3.5/5, the podium spots are well and truly up for grabs! This has been one of the more competitive classical tournaments in recent years at RCC and it is great to see so many under-rated players improving their games and challenging the top seeds.

Round 6 (Final Round) – 8:00PM Wednesday 4 March:

Round 6, the final round of the tournament, will begin at 8pm this Wednesday, March 4. Look forward to another round of exciting chess!

The pairings will be finalised at 8PM sharp so please try to be at Rothwell by 7:45PM to ensure a timely start to the round. Feel free to arrive as early as 7PM for social chess!
