Crosstable R7 of the 2025 Norm Braybrooke Memorial played on Wed night August 27
Please find attached the R7 crosstable of the 2025 RCC Norm Braybrooke Memorial played last night, Wednesday August 27.
In the final round of the 2025 Norm Braybrooke Memorial, Jai Turner completed a perfect tournament with a swift victory over the improving youngster Braeden Levy. With his “picket-fence” score of 7/7, Jai wins the tournament by a full point; a convincing performance during which he was in control of each game he played. This leaves Jai poised for a strong performance at the upcoming RCC Leo Wilkinson Memorial weekender (see details below) where he will be one of the tournament favourites. Congratulations, Jai!
David Pando concluded a fantastic tournament by outclassing the dangerous James Xia on Board 2. David finishes the tournament in clear second place on 6/7, a full point and a half ahead of the chasing pack. David’s only loss in the tournament was to Jai and he will surely be seeking revenge over the board in their next encounter! Well done, David!
In a four-way tie for third place (4.5/7) were talented juniors James Xia and Simon Yousafi, as well as experienced players Greg Orme and Allan Fossey. Well done, guys!
