See the attached crosstable from our ONE NIGHT 5 minutes flat, no increment Lightning Chess Tournament last Wednesday night April 23.
It was won by Oscar Tan with 7/8! Oscar won 6 games and drew two games – with Max Phillips and Michael D’Arcy. Well done Oscar!
In outright 2nd place was Jai Turner, just half a point behind Oscar on 6.5/8. Jai also did well at the recent Doeberl Cup in Canberra!
Simon Yousafi had another top quick chess result, taking out 3rd place and the Best Junior score with 6/8.
This Wednesday night April 30 we are back to Classical Chess with our 2025 Lou Wilkinson Memorial, a 6 round ACF and QJ rated Swiss tournament. Entries will close at 7:45pm on Wednesday night but it is best to Direct Deposit your $20 Adult Entry Fee OR $6 Junior Entry Fee of $6 NOW to the Redcliffe Chess Club Inc Westpac Account using your SURNAME as the REFERENCE:
