Our Redcliffe Chess Club Inc Lightning Tournament is on tonight, Wednesday night April 23. $1 gold coin entry for all players! 8 rounds of 5 minutes flat, no increment will be played! It is sure to be a fun night of Chess! Be there by 7:45pm at the latest to be included in the R1 Pairings or Text Mark on 0431 419 146 and tell him you are coming!

A hearty congratulations to Rohan Pyne for winning the 2025 Viv Greenelsh Memorial on 5/6 after defeating top seed David Beaumont in a tense, close final round game last week.

In equal second were Jai Turner, Allan Fossey and David Beaumont, all on 4.5/6.

Nikola Maljkovic was the Best Junior with 4/6 – Congratulations Nikola!

Remember the 9 round Or 7 round Churchie Internationals are coming up very soon! The 9 rounder is on from Thursday night May 1 to Monday May 5 AND the 7 rounder is on from Friday night May 2 to Monday May 5 and both tournaments will be FIDE, ACF and QJ rated!
