JAI WINS SUMMER SWISS, BLITZ THIS WED

Jai Turner convincingly won the 2025 Summer Swiss with the perfect score of 6/6 – not too shabby Jai! Congrats!

Rohan Pyne took out second place all by himself with 5/6, also not too shabby! Well done Rohan!

In equal 3rd place with 4/6 were Mark C Stokes, Michael D’Arcy and David Beaumont, and the Best Junior was Simon Yousafi with 3.5/6.

This Wednesday night March 5 is the 2025 Redcliffe Chess Club Inc Blitz Chess Championship over 9 rounds, with the time control of 3 minutes each plus 2 seconds a move. This is also a Trophy Event, with Trophies presented at our AGM in December.

Entry fee for this Blitz Chess Tournament is just $2 for Adults and $1 for Juniors and is payable on the night between 7pm and 7:45pm. Entries close for the Blitz Tournament at 7:45pm so if you are running late, text Mark by 7:30pm to be included in the R1 pairings. R1 will start at 8pm.
