Congrats to Blitz Champ Simon Yousafi 8.5/9, New Tournament this Wed March 12

Congratulations to Simon Yousafi for convincingly winning the 2025 RCC Blitz Championship on Wednesday night March 5 with the fantastic score of 8.5/9! Wow!
Rohan Pyne also did really well, taking out 2nd place all by himself on 7/9. Well done Rohan!
In outright 3rd place was Allan Fossey, who scored 6.5/9. A good score by Allan.

It’s now time to enter the 2025 Viv Greenelsh Memorial, which starts this coming Wednesday night March 12, with entries closing at 7:45pm on Wednesday night in the F Block of Grace Lutheran College, Buchanan St, Rothwell. This is a 6 round accelerated Swiss Event to be rated on both the ACF Classical list and the QJ rating list. Adults will play with 60 minutes each plus 20 seconds a move and Juniors with either 60 minutes each plus 20 seconds a move or 30 minutes each plus 30 seconds a move, whichever time control they prefer.
