Crosstable R1 Redcliffe Summer Swiss
We welcomed new players Laurel Boland, Thomas Wells and Liam Cornmell to our Club tonight, Wednesday January 22, 2025, for R1 of the 2025 Summer Swiss and we were delighted to see the return of David Beaumont after a year away in Victoria. We hope Tom Weber has a good trip to Vietnam and we wish Austin Hamilton all the very best in his new job in Broome, Western Australia.
We have 27 entrants so far in the 2025 Summer Swiss and it promises to be an exciting 6 round tournament. With ACF and QJ Rating Points up for grabs! We have no less than 10 players on a perfect score of 1/1 – see the attached R1 Crosstable for the complete scores.
Thank You to the Adult Members who have already paid the $20 entry fee for the 2025 Summer Swiss and Thank You to the Junior Members who have already paid their $6 entry fee to this tournament!

We will collect the $20 CAQ Inc Fee for 2025 and the $5 Redcliffe Chess Club Fee in February and would like this total of $25 paid into our account by Wednesday February 26. If you have already paid your $20 CAQ Fee for 2025, you need to just deposit the $5 Redcliffe Chess Club Inc Membership Fee by Wednesday February 26.
We need everyone to be 2025 CAQ Inc Members so our games can be ACF rated and also so you are covered by the CAQ Inc Public Liability Insurance Policy.
A number of good Upcoming Week End Events are worth playing in too : The 2025 Tin Cup is on at the Gold Coast on Saturday February 22 and Sunday February 23 and the QWCL’s 2025 Gold Cup is on at Churchie on Friday night March 14, Saturday March 15 and Sunday March 16.
