Our FREE PIZZAS should arrive around 7:45pm. Bring your own cakes and drinks to share too if you wish.
Our FUN DOUBLES CHESS Tournament over 3 or 4 rounds will begin about 8pm. The Teams of 2 will be drawn from 2 hats – all the Adults will be in 1 hat and all the Juniors in another hat so nearly all teams will consist of one Adult and one Junior. In a match between Team 1 and Team 2, the Adult in Team 1 makes the first move, the Adult in Team 2 makes the first reply move, then the Junior from Team A makes his or her move, followed by the Junior in Team B making his or her move. This sequence continues for the whole game. It is a lot of fun to play in!
Our Club will close for the Christmas and New Year holidays after the Doubles Chess finishes on Wednesday night December 18 and we will re-open for 2025 with our six round accelerated Summer Swiss on Wednesday night January 22 at 7pm. Circle Wednesday night January 22 on your 2025 Calendars now!
Kind regards
