A hearty congratulations to both Allan Fossey, who won 5 consecutive games from R2 to R6 and to Austin Hamilton, who only lost in R3 and won every other round, for both finishing equal 1st on 5/6 in the 2024 Norm Braybrooke Classic! In outright 3rd place was Mark C Stokes on 4.5/6. See the attached crosstable for the final scores of all players.

Next Wednesday night August 14 and the following Wednesday night August 21 is the 2024 Allegro Championship, with R1-R3 played on the first night and R4-R6 played on the second night. Each round is played with 12 minutes each plus 3 seconds a move on the clock and the entry fee for all 6 rounds is just $5 for Adults or just $2 for Juniors. Trophies will be up for grabs for the placegetters and for all rating groups, so do not miss the next two weeks at Redcliffe Chess Club Inc! R1 should start at 7:45pm so do not be late!
