Jai Turner has taken the sole lead after 3 rounds of the 2024 Lou Wilkinson Memorial with 3 out of 3 – Jai defeated Nikola Maljkovic in R1, Chris Basiaco in R2 and Austin Hamilton in R3. Allan Fossey, Elizabeth Williams and Shane McNicholl are all just half a point behind Jai on 2.5/3 and another 7 players are on 2/3.

Don’t forget the Wednesday night after next, on Wednesday night June 5, Jai Turner is running a one night only Chess 960 or Fischer Random night with games played at 10 minutes each plus 5 seconds a move and the entry fee for this event is just a gold coin donation. You can practice playing Chess 960 on both Chess.com and Li Chess. This gold coin donation entry fee will be added on to our Club’s $100 promised donation to the ACF Olympiad Appeal. You too can donate individually to this ACF Olympiad Appeal to help get our Open and Womens Teams to the 45th FIDE Olympiad in Budapest in September at this link:
