Massive amounts going to developing young talent in Tasmania.
Are they having to “buy friends” with cash giveaways or “rating prizes”?
Answer is No.
AFL is a Business and is run like one.
Australian Chess continues to give all its cash away and then beg for money from the government.

In 2023 there have been a number of important announcements regarding Tasmanian football, including:
- As part of the AFL’s $360 million commitment to support a new Tasmanian AFL/AFLW club, more than $93m will be invested in game development and $33m in developing young talent in Tasmania
- The AFL announced that from 2024, $500,000 will be spent annually on developing home-grown talent via a new pathway model, with the initial focus on establishing expanded talent development programs for 12-to-15 year old boys and girls
