R5 (Final Round) of the 2024 Summer Swiss
Our 2024 Summer Swiss concluded last night, Wednesday February 28, with 2 co-winners, Michael D’Arcy and Jai Turner, both scoring 4.5/5. Congratulations Michael and Jai! See please final cross table at the bottom of this post.
It was also great to see 5 new members join our Redcliffe Chess Club – welcome to Lara Kratzmann, Courtney Cooper, Niklas Kreuzer, Grayson Heselden and Darron Heselden.
Next Wednesday night, March 6, we have our one night only 7 round Blitz Chess Tournament, using the time control of 3 minutes each plus 2 seconds a move. The entry fee is just $2 – bring a gold coin along on Wednesday night. Be there by 7:30pm to be included in the computer draw, with R1 to start about 7:45pm.
We have a Week End Chess Tournament here at Rothwell on Saturday March 9 and Sunday March 10 run by Gail Young from the QWCL. Redcliffe Club Members can enter for just $70 – do not pay $80 – right up to the closing date of Friday March 8. It will be FIDE, ACF and QJ rated.
