NZ Championship News and photos – Jeeva’s in the money!

 Jeeva and Sravan have been playing in the NZ chess Congress.

Sravan finished equal third in the championship yesterday. Great performance without a single loss.

Jeeva played well with a highlight of beating an IM in classic miniature game.

Australians are going to have to travel more overseas to meet strong opposition.

Appearance fees for GMs and IMs in Australia have to be put aside to feed rating prizes.

Unfortunately, nothing can be done about this.

The Australian Championship is now a GM free Zone! Well done!
