With the 2 leaders after R2 both losing in R3 of the 2023 FIDE Rated Redcliffe Chess Club Championship, we now have 2 new leaders after R3, David Beaumont and Max Phillips, both on 2.5 out of 3. Another 11 players are close behind the leaders on 2/3 and another 6 players are just 1 point behind with 2 rounds to go! It is certain to be a very exciting finish!

The Redcliffe Chess Club AGM is on Wednesday night December 20, alongside the FREE PIZZA NIGHT and Club Championship Prize Presentation and Fun Chess night. The Club will close for 2023 on Wednesday night December 20 after the fun chess and pizza!
The Club will RE-OPEN on Wednesday night JANUARY 24  2024 at 7pm, with R1 of the 2024 Summer Swiss just after 7:30pm.
The CAQ Inc AGM is also on soon, on Sunday December 17, at 10am , at Mt Gravatt Bowls Club.
The CAQ Blitz Chess Championship will follow the CAQ AGM, with 3 minutes plus 2 seconds a move.

Mars Chess Club ACF Quick and QJ rated JUNIOR RAPID on Monday December 11 from 9am at Sky Rooms, Calamvale Hotel. 7 rounds of 15 minutes each plus 5 sec a move! For ages 4-18 only. $1500 prize pool.
The Australian Chess Championship in Adelaide from January 2- January 11   2024.
The Australian Junior Chess Championships also in Adelaide from Saturday January 13.
