The following Wednesday night, November 1, is our Free, Fun, Teams Chess night where all Redcliffe Players will be placed in a Team by Kerry Corker. Everyone will get 3 games of 15 minutes each plus 3 seconds a move Chess and you cannot be paired against players in the same Team.
Bullwinkle Chess Club and Logan Chess Club are going to send players along to this free, fun event and other Clubs might do so too!
Our Redcliffe Chess Club Championship for 2023, in 2 divisions, will follow on after the Teams Chess night. Both divisions of the Club Championship will have beautiful Chess Sets for the two winners!
Our Senior Club Members should not forget to enter the 2023 Queensland Seniors Chess Championship which is on November 11 and November 12 at Bracken Ridge. All players born before 1974 are eligible to enter. The entry form and full details are on the CAQ Website under Coming Events: www.caq.org.au
The Bundaberg Classic is also fast approaching, on November 18 and November 19. R1 starts at 11:30am on the Saturday so players from Brisbane could drive up from 6:30am and still make it to R1 – but I would leave at 6am to make sure I made it in time. You could also take a half point bye for R1 and then you would not need top arrive in Bundaberg till 2:30pm for R2. See the CAQ Website for full details of the 2023 Bundaberg Classic: www.caq.org.au
See you this Wednesday night October 25 for R6, the final round, of the 2023 Mike Dyer Memorial.

PS If you cannot play R6, please let me know by text message by 7:30pm on Wednesday night so I can take you out of the draw and so everyone present will get a game.
