Message from CAQ Inc. Vice President, Tony Powell re Insurance.
Hello All
I am pleased to inform you that the CAQ has purchased Public Liability Insurance for the Association and all of it’s affiliated clubs.
We have engaged with the ACF / Fitzpatrick Brokers for this purpose, and in doing so have joined, on this policy, with many chess clubs and organisations from around the nation.
Shortly, I will send out detailed documents for you to keep on file.
In the meantime, I can assure you that the CAQ as an Association and each of the Affiliated clubs, their members, whether members of the CAQ or not, are covered, along with Committee members, Play Officials, visitors and those associated with our chess club activities.
It is necessary that you keep a Club ‘Visitors/Temporary Members’ book. Just a little notebook by your door for those visiting and those ‘trying out’ before joining. Nothing too flash needed, but it does cover you and others.
Thank you for your patience, with this year being a more difficult process than in the past.
