New FIDE Ratings are out. Only 8 players in Qld’s Top 100 showed activity. Qld.FIDE list updated.
The OZJuniorFIDE file has WA and Vic. up to date. The other states should be updated tomorrow.
Our top players are still only playing social chess. Hardly any FIDE rated events.
Hard for aspiring Juniors to proceed with no one to play.
How about offering our top players appearance fees with $x per point as well.
Where does the money come from? Stop burning precious cash on rating prizes.
By investing in our top players we also invest in our best Juniors by giving them someone to play.
Why should Qld. Juniors have to travel interstate to get good FIDE rated opponents while we are paying amateurs cash money?
