FORMAT: 7 round Swiss.

TIME CONTROL: 90 minutes each plus 30 seconds per move from move 1.

ROUND START TIMES: R1 Fri 7:30pm R2 Sat 10am R3 Sat 3pm R4 Sun 10am R5 Sun 3pm R6 Mon 10am R7 Mon 3pm.

BYES: Up to two half point byes available in rounds 1 to 6.

FREE ENTRY: Free entry is offered for GM’s, IM’s, WGM’s and WIM’s.

PRIZES: 1st: $1500 2nd: $1000 3rd: $600 4th: $500 5th: $400. Plus 3 Rating Group Prizes under 1600 ACF – 1st $250 2nd $200 plus unrated prizes.

ENTRY FEE: $130 But if you enter before April 1, just pay $100!

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY: All Queensland entrants must be a member of CAQ. Players can win only one prize. In the event of a tie, the winner of the Gold
Cup will be determined on count-back. Overseas entrants must have a FIDE ID number or must obtain one from their home
country federation prior to entering. Parents should ensure children are supervised between rounds.
