How do we keep our top Juniors??

With Gold Coast Chess Club Inc. starting to run weekly FIDE Rated events, we will have to work hard to keep our top Junior players.

We need new ideas to keep these people and the RCC AGM is the place to get the ball rolling.

My idea is to pay some Brisbane IMs to attend our club on a regular basis. These players have represented their country at the Olympiad and have heaps of experience at beating other IMs and even GMs.

I believe IM Solomon has beaten over 26 GMs, mostly at Olympiads – the highest form of chess.

We have the money – we pay out thousands every year in rating prizes.

Time to start investing that money in our future – the past can take care of its self.
