Gold Coast Chess Club cordially invites you to our October FIDE rated Rapid One Day Tournament.
As usual, you can expect a great turnout and some well-contested games!

FIDE Rapid, ACF Quick and QJ rated

IMPORTANT:
Players without a FIDE ID must be Australian citizens or permanent residents otherwise they will have to register with their FIDE country of citizenship prior to registering for the event.
QLD resident players must be members of the Chess Association of Queensland to participate.

A FIDE Rapid, ACF Quick and QJ rated 7-round Swiss tournament.

Join us at our new venue on the Northern Gold Coast for an excellent day of rapid chess!!
Approximately 30 mins from South Brisbane.

Total Prize Pool: $1050

Prizes: 1st $300, 2nd $200 3rd $100

3 x Rating Group $150

Juniors Under 1000 QJ – Trophies 1st, 2nd and 3rd

Special Prizes for Best Costumes

Entry Fee:

$50 (GCCC Members $40)

Time control: 15 minutes + 5 seconds increment from move 1

Pairing System:

Vega using Swiss Dutch FIDE JaVaFo

Tie Break:

1.Buchholz Cut 1; 2.Buchholz; 3.Direct Encounter.

Schedule:

Registration: Saturday 10:45-11:15

Round 1 @ 11:15 am Rounds 2-7 will commence once all players are complete their rounds.

Presentations: Approximately 5 pm

Forfeiture time:

15 minutes from start time.

Half Point Byes:

A maximum of two half point byes only will be permitted for rounds 1 to 5

DOP/Arbiters – Mathew Smith NA, Marek Breeden NA and Orsen Van der Byl NA

In case of a tie, the Tournament title will be decided on tie-break but all prize money for placings will be evenly split.
