AFL announces $4.5 billion TV deal

The AFL has stated that it will be aiming to invest 10% of this into grassroots AFL.

They will also be spending money on their 19th team, Tasmania.

For our State and National AGMs, we should consider the following:

1.What is our National and State 5 Year Development Plan?

2.What is our National and State Plan for part time paid employees to fill positions

that can no longer be filled reliably by volunteers.

3.What is our National and State Junior Development Plan?

4.What is the current Player Roster for our 3 National Teams?

Proposed National Business Model

Open Olympiad Team – 104-week cycle – 10 player roster

Female Olympiad Team – 104-week cycle – 10 player roster

Youth Olympiad Team – 104-week cycle – 10 player roster

6 State/Territory Teams of 10 players playing online Round-Robin yearly.

Everything required of a business model is embodied in supporting the above teams.

You support the team players from the first day they walk into the club until the day they are given their “baggy green”.

Become involved in your next State and National AGM and ask to see the current and proposed, next 5 year plan.

If they don’t have a plan, become involved in running Australian Chess like a business.

LET’S CATCH UP WHILE THERE ARE STILL SOME ADULTS PLAYING OTB CHESS LEFT IN AUSTRALIA.
