Our new Club Wednesday night tournament, the Norm Braybrooke Classic, a 6 round Swiss that will be both ACF and QJ rated, starts on Wednesday July 20. ( The Chess Club is closed on Wednesday night July 13 for State of Origin football. )  The Adult Entry Fee is $20 and the Junior Entry Fee is $6. Congratulations to former Redcliffe Chess Club Member IM Brodie McClymont and IM Stephen Solomon for winning the  57^th Peninsula Open last weekend with 5.5/6.  Jai Turner with 4.5, Kiamehr Baneshi with 4, Neil Fu with 4 , Filip Simic with 4 and ChengYi Xia with 3 also did very well. Filip shared Rating Group B, Neil Fu won Rating Group C outright and ChengYi Xia shared first prize in Rating Group E.
