Change of Regulations Regarding 2022 GC Club Champ Titles and Trophies

Club Champs Trophies Awarded to:
Seniors 50+, Open, Under 18, Under 16, Under 14, Under 12 and Under 10

Due to our GCCC Club having expanded to include Upper Coomera on Tuesday nights the 2022 GCCC Club Champion Title and above trophies will be decided in the following manner:

1- Players finishing 1st in the Burleigh Club Championships in any of the following divisions will become the Burleigh GC Chess Club Champions for 2022 – Ties are settled by tiebreakers
Seniors 50+, Open, Under 18, Under 16, Under 14, Under 12 and Under 10

2- Players finishing 1st in the Coomera Winter Grades Champions Grade will become the Coomera GC Chess Club Champions for 2022. If there is no eligible player in the Champions Grade then the 1st place Challengers Grade player will become the Coomera GC Chess Club Champion – Ties are settled by tiebreakers

3- Later this year, on a Saturday date TBC, the first GCCC Titles North vs South Match will be organised at a neutral venue to determine our 2022 GCCC Champions.
Players will play a two game classical match, followed by rapid, then blitz tiebreakers if required. Details to be announced at a later date.

4- In the case that a champion is not able to attend the GCCC Titles North vs South Match the match position will be offered to the next best player determined by the standings of either the Burleigh Club Championship or the Coomera Winter Grades.
