Friday 5th August 2022 – You can hit the Coast late in the arvo. You left work early.

You can be picked up by an embarrassingly long limo.
15 minutes and 15 klms straight up the highway to Burleigh Beach.
There appears to be another group at the other end of the limo – it’s hard to see from here –

its ok – they’re chess players also.

Hit Hotel Reception, bags in the unit. Checkout the world class beach view from your balcony.
Drinks at the Beach Bar of Mowbray Park SLSC. When I tell you it is the best Beach Bar in Australia, there will be doubters.
When you are sitting there sipping your margaritas, you will understand what I mean.
Or coffees, or a meal at one of the 20 eateries ranging from take-away to a la carte all within the café precinct.
All a very short walk from your accommodation and playing venue.

Saturday 6th August – A Big day of Chess between mates and former rivals, Australia wide.
You are playing for the “Alumni Kings” and “Alumni Queens” Trophy 2022.

Sunday 7th August – spend the morning running on the beach and drinking very good coffee.

Monday 8th August – spend the morning running on the beach and drinking very good coffee.

Or take a day trip up to Springbrook, a beautiful National Park. 33 klms, 40 minutes-drive away.
Or do some designer shopping in Burleigh or Surfers. Or stay for the week. You’re in charge.

Would you like to spend a weekend or more on the beautiful Gold Coast playing chess and meeting up with old friends.

Can’t get a full team together? Composite Teams will be formed. Meet new people. Network.
Reunion dinner/supper/presentations will be held about 15 meters from the venue in the café precinct of Burleigh Heads.
