Suggested format so far. This is all to be sorted out by the Clubs’ admin. people.
The below are only my suggestions.
Please let your Club admin. people know your suggestions next club night.
Or you can email them to me at –

I will publish all suggestions without alterations.

FIDE Ratings are being used because there is the possibility in the future of having OS clubs involved.
Any club in our time zone could theoretically field a team.
Board 1 Open
Board 2 Open
Board 3 Open
Board 4 Open
Board 5 Open
Board 6 Open
Board 7 U/18
Board 8 U/16
Board 9 U/14
Board 10 U/12
Must include at least two (2) female players.

Time Control: Suggest something like 15 mins each. That way you could play one white, one black
against your opponent.
If you think that is too fast – please remember that 99.9% of the world’s organised chess is now
5 mins. flat or
3 mins. with 02 secs. or
Bullet.
40 moves in 2 and half hours is last century.

Why have the match?

1.Who has the best Chess Club venue in Australia?

Answer: GCCC of course.
50 meters from Burleigh Beach.
20 meters from Connor Street Cafe Society
20 meters from James St fashion precinct.

2.Who has the strongest Chess Club* in Queensland?
* Chess Club refers to a group of people who meet on a regular basis at a specific advertised venue,
with a specific time and place, to discuss how unlucky they were to lose on time!

Answer: Redcliffe Chess Club of course.
Just to clear up some lingering doubts, we decided to have this match.

May the Winners take all the glory and may the losers “Weave their laurels”.
