LiChess Arena Match between Bullwinkle – RCC – Toowoomba – Excessive Epicness

Saturday Dec. 18 – 8pm to 10pm

Format 1. (The format being used)
“Each player can play as many or as few games as they want. Each club can field as many players as they like, with the top 7 scores counting towards victory. Arena streaks are on, which means that if you win three or more games in a row then the third and all subsequent wins in the streak count for double points.”

Format 2.
Fixed Roster. Similar to the Olympiad and Bundesliga. (The format not being used)
Board 1 gets the user name of the opposing Board 1, logs on at agreed time and seeks/plays them on Lichess.
Board 2 gets the user name of the opposing Board 2 logs on at agreed time and seeks/plays them on Lichess.
Board 3 gets the user name of the opposing Board 3 logs on at agreed time and seeks/plays them on Lichess.
Board 4,5,6,7 etc – repeat as above.

At the end of the match the convenor adds up the scores and declares the winner. Simple.

Obviously, each board can play 1 white and 1 black against their opposite board number.
In a 4 team competition, this give each player 6 hard games against players in their own board/strength range.

Matches go into record books with full details of game results with game scores downloaded for publishing.
This format has been available on Lichess for over 5 years, and is being used all around the world.
