The following weekend at Grace Lutheran College Rothwell, Redcliffe Chess Club will host the CAQ Queensland Chess Championship, for players with an ACF rating of 1600 or higher, from Thursday night September 30 to Monday night October 4 over 9 rounds – it will be FIDE rated, ACF rated and QJ rated and played at the time control of 90 minutes each plus 30 seconds per move from the start. The flyer will soon be up on the CAQ Website.
Redcliffe Chess Club will also host the CAQ Queensland U1600 ACF Queensland Chess Championship from Friday night October 1 to Monday night October 4 over 7 rounds here at Grace Lutheran College Rothwell at the time control of 90 minutes each plus 30 seconds a move – the U1600 Championship will also be FIDE rated as well as ACF and QJ rated. The flyer for this event will soon be up on the CAQ Website too.
The September School holidays also starts with the Nell Van De Graaff Classic at William Duncan State School, Explorers Way, Highland Park on Saturday September 18 and Sunday 19, in two divisions – an Open Division for all adults and juniors AND a Junior U1200 QJ division, for junior players with a QJ rating under 1200.
