Hi All
Just a reminder that this Wednesday night August 18 the Redcliffe Chess Club is closed for over the board chess. We plan to re-open next Wednesday night August 25 for over the board chess.

Everyone is invited to join in our Chess.com Redcliffe Chess Club Arena Tournament this Wednesday night August 18 from 7pm to 9pm – you register to play in it between 6pm and 7pm on Wednesday night. Last Wednesday night, August 11, 20 players took part in our Arena Lockdown Tournament. 1st was abrad117 (Aiden Brady) on 37 points, 2nd was Glomnipotent (Tom Maguire) also on 37 points, then 3rd was BlinxGM on 25 points, then Master Turner (Jai Turner) on 17 points, then both bobsleds (Allan Fossey) and tonyweller52 (Tony Weller) each on 16 points.

You can play over any of last week’s games by going to Chess.com, hovering over Connect, Clicking on Clubs, Clicking on Redcliffe Chess Club, Clicking on Live Tournaments on the left hand side, then clicking on Arena ( It will show our Swiss Tournaments under Swiss), then clicking on Redcliffe Arena Lockdown 1. If you scroll down to the pairings and click on a pairing you want to replay, the game can be replayed. There are three pages to look at and you might have played two or three games on each of these pages. You can click on Analysis or Game Report too if you wish.

Remember our week-end tournament, The Leo Wilkinson Memorial, is fast approaching – it is on Saturday September 25 and Sunday September 26 at Rothwell and you can enter for just $30!!!!
