Chess Club is on Wednesday night July 21 for Round 5 of the Lou Wilkinson Memorial – be there before 8pm to be included in the tournament draw. If you are running a bit late but want to be included in the R5 draw, text or ring me on 0431 419 136. The Club will open up at 7:30pm as usual. Check in with your mobile phone on arrival or sign in on paper and sanitize your hands on arrival too please! If you are feeling unwell, stay home and let me know you are not coming.
Over 70 players have already entered the Wendy Terry Memorial on this weekend Saturday July 24 and Sunday July 25 here at Rothwell, including a number of Redcliffe Members including Aiden Brady, Tony Weller, Craig Stewart, Lachlan Wang, Kingston Wang, Mark C Stokes, Thomas Worrall, Elizabeth Williams, Daniel Gardener and Roman Mouzovatkine. The One Day FIDE Rated Rapid Chess Tournament on Sunday August 8 is also fast approaching and is for players rated under 1750 ACF. It will FIDE Quick Play, ACF Rapid and QJ rated and is just $35 to enter for 7 games of chess at 15 minutes each plus 5 seconds a move from move 1. Check the CAQ Website for full details of this fun event. You can even enter for just $30 if you enter by Sunday August 1!
You can also enter the Redcliffe Chess Club’s Leo Wilkinson Memorial on Saturday September 25 and Sunday September 26 for just $30 because you are a member of Redcliffe Chess Club! Full details of this weekender are also on the CAQ Website under Coming Events.
