2021 Rapid Championship Fundraiser
Hi All
Here is a message from Kenji Nakauchi, Gene’s brother, about his Dad’s funeral this Friday and the special Chess Tournament on this Saturday June 12 to support the Nakauchi family:
“Dad’s funeral/memorial service will be taking place this Friday the 11/06/2021 at 2:30pm at the Allambe Memorial Park Garden Chapel, 129 Nerang Broadbeach Road Nerang Qld 4211. The setting will be rather informal.
Please let me know at 0423 921 877 or Facebook Message if you are looking to attend so we can provide a head count. The chapel will be accessible from 2:15pm and the session will run for 45 minutes so it is suggested to arrive at 2:15pm.
Also for those that may be interested a family friend of ours, Alex the CEO of Top Chess has kindly organised a fund raising chess tournament for us to take place the following day, Saturday 12/06/21, at Kings Christian College, Pimpama, with registration at 9:30am and round 1 at 10am. Myself and my older brother Gene who holds a FIDE Master title will be entering. There will be prizes for all levels and the flyer is attached above.
