So who was Viv Greenelsh?

The Greenelsh Memorial Tournament. So who was Viv Greenelsh?
Legend has it that the City of Redcliffe chess Club was established in 1960. Viv was Secretary and Treasurer of the club from 1965 to 1975 when the Club’s Peninsula Open tournaments were established. Viv, Fred Ward, Mike Dyer, Norm Braybrooke and Lou Wilkinson were the people who built and expanded the club over the first twenty years of its existence.
Viv used to transport the promising teenager, Mark Stokes from Mark’s parents home in Zillmere to the chess club and back. According to Mark: “Viv never missed a night and I was so lucky to get a lift!” The City of Redcliffe Chess Club was also lucky as Mark eventually became President of the Club and of the Chess Association of Queensland.
