1. e4 c5 2. c4 Nc6 3. Ne2 g6 4. d4 cxd4 5. Nxd4 Bg7 6. Be3 Nf6 7. Nc3 O-O 8. Be2
{ Is this a C4 Sicilian versus a hyper-accelerated Dragon?} 8… d6 9. O-O { I
thought 9…Ng4 might work, but white always seems to win a piece.} 9… Bd7
10. Rc1 Rc8 11. f3 { Simply consolidating. Black has to find room for all his
pieces.} 11… Ne5 { 11…Nxd4 might declutter Black’s position.} 12. b3 a6
13. Qd2 Bc6 14. Rfd1 Qd7 { 14…Qa5? runs into the old chestnut, 1.Nd5} 15. h3
{ This looks a bit weakening for the White King, but I don’t see how Black can
benefit. It also sets up – 15…Nh5? 16.f4 should win a piece.} 15… Qc7 16.
f4 Ned7 17. Bf3 Nc5 18. Qc2 Rfd8 19. f5 { This appears to leave a nice square
on e5 for a Black Knight. It stops a Black Knight going to e6 and challenging
d4. 19. Nd5 may have been better.} 19… Nfd7 { This loses a piece due to the
cramped nature of Black’s pieces.} 20. b4 Bxd4 21. Bxd4 e5 22. Bf2 b6 23. bxc5
bxc5 24. Bh4 Re8 25. fxg6 hxg6 26. Bg4 Rb8 27. Qd2 1-0
