2019 Redcliffe Chess Club Championships.
The club’s annual championships was recently completed after being contested over 7 consecutive rounds.
28 members played in this tournament, which witnessed many close games in chasing this prestigious title.
Eventual winner was Tom Maguire on 6 points. Tom actually took a last round zero point bye to play in an IM norm event in Adelaide as he was well clear of the field with a round to spare to take out the title. This is just another impressive result for Tom who has firmly established himself as the benchmark for all other club members.
2nd on 5 1/2 points was the ever improving Aiden Brady.
=3rd were Craig Stewart and Khush Patel on 4 1/2 points.
Best junior was Filip Simic on 4 points and best under 1500 was Khush Patel.
