2019 Viv Greenelsch Memorial Tournament
The 2019 Viv Greenelsch Memorial Tournament was conducted as a 7 round event concluding on Wednesday 29th May, 2019. The time control was 60 minutes plus an incremental of 20 seconds per move. A total of 28 players contested this prestigious club event held on an annual basis to remember the significant contribution of a former club foundation member who contributed much to the development of the Redcliffe chess club.
Overall winner was Tom Maguire on 6 1/2 points out of 7.
=2 were Allan Fossey and Mark Stokes on 5 points.
3rd was the newest club member in John Nothdurft on 4 1/2 points.
Best under 1500 was Tony McRoberts.
Best junior was Adhessha Suraweera.

The event was conducted with a strong fighting spirit (which Viv would of strongly endorsed and appreciated) with only 5 draws out of the 68 games played.
